828 with 5ive

828 is my new Cre8ive2Cre8ive Blog series where I connect with some of the artist I create with and talk about their Creative process. The purpose of this Blog is to hopefully spread the word about some of the Artist I’ve seen grinding. This interview is with an artist that I’ve worked with for a few years. I have created some of her cover art and motion cover art.

I’ve been working with 5ive for a while and hope to continue doing so. I think she’s an amazing artist and suggest you give her a listen.

Over the years I’ve created the following artwork for 5ive.

When asked about her new single she said:

“My new single like I never left can is relatable in many ways because it doesn’t just have to be about a relationship stand point it can also be used in the daily walks of life of feeling like your back at something bigger and better then ever.”

“My producer is a major part of my sound because he helps with the musical arrangement behind my vocals and melodies. We create each record from scratch. I give him a idea of what type of record I want to create and he makes the beat right then and there in the studio. I come up with the lyrics and topic and we both throw out melodies and boom everything else comes easy. We have a dope chemistry too the point where it’s hard for me to get that same energy with others. We really create undeniable records together.”

When asked about her thoughts on creativity:

Creative is extremely important to me as a artist because your creativity is what separates you from others. I’m different so I like to express that in my work and in life. Our individuality makes us stand out from the rest and I’m all bout standing out. I don’t like to be compared to anyone because I’m me and there’s only one me PeriodT! Trying to break into an industry where no one is original anymore can get quite frustrating because people tend to bite off independent underground talent and not give them credit. I’m flattered to know that my creativity has definitely inspired some of today’s big names.

What 5ive is working on:

I’m currently working on movies and constantly auditioning for major roles. Queen and slim helped me break into the acting world now being a SAG-AFTRA actress. I have two upcoming movies coming out soon and a independent production company I got the pleasure of working with is working on getting a budget behind a film starring myself as the leading lady. Im still working on my music in the meantime and look forward to putting out my next project with my producer MK. I also have a web series with one of my good friends coming out called metaphorically speaking talk is cheap.

Creative Process :

My creative process is like a iconic moment each time because it amazes me how I can come up with theses bold and some say daring ideas that inspire my fan base in many ways. I honestly just do wtf I want without worrying if people will like it or not because My creativity is mine and what makes me me! The process is easy when your being you and not trying be like everyone else. The dopest thing about it is my fans get to live through me because some aren’t able to express themselves whether through their image, work , or voice but I am. They may either be afraid of being judged or don’t have the platform or confidence but I give them what they like to call life lol !

Client Testimonial

What I like the most about working with HDR is he gets my vision and his work is impressive. That’s crucial when it comes to artist because we need people who are just as creative as we are. The quality is also important and I can tell he is passionate about his work and he’s just not collecting a check because he’s not gonna put out just anything. He makes sure I’m happy with each image or motion graphic first before moving on with a final payment which I truly appreciate because some people just care about the money. I also don’t use anyone else for artwork right now because I know he’s not going to disappoint me. I’m definitely a loyal client and we have some years behind us. I’m also inspired by the other work he has done with other celebrities.
